About Fort Lawn Fire Department:
The Fort Lawn Fire Department began in 1948 when the Town of Fort Lawn purchased
their first city truck. In 1962 a Rural County Fire Department was established
in the same building to fight fire in the eastern parts of Chester County. A few
years after that the two Department were combined as into one department. Today
we are responsible for Fire, Rescue and Major Medical Calls within the Town of Fort Lawn and
Eastern Chester County. We currently have an I.S.O. rating of Class-4 within the
Town of Fort Lawn, and a Class-6 for all areas outside of the town that are with
in 5 miles of the fire station.
Department Type: All Volunteer
